The characters in this road movie are, like us, on board a boat adrift. Their only lifeline is an old Peugeot 106, which should enable them to escape the worn-out environment in which they were born. These five parking lot Diogenes, who have everything working against them, will have to work together to be able to leave. Is mankind doomed to argue forever about the existence of God and the price of petrol at the pump? The Xanadou collective pay homage to cinema and all the great films they grew up with: Fast and Furious, Fast and Furious 2, Fast and Furious 3, Fast and Furious 4, Fast and Furious 5...
The members of the Xanadou collective met at a gas station on the A7 freeway in early 2005. They chatted over coffee and discovered they had a lot in common. For example, they liked Viandox, parking meters and industrial estates. So it was only natural that, five years later, they decided to start creating in public spaces.
For a decade now, they've been making shows like antidepressants. Only less unhealthy. Perhaps that's where their funny name comes from: Xanadou. Unless it comes from a Norwegian cocktail, or an Orson Welles film...
