Producer, composer and DJ based between Kuala Lumpur and Cambodia, Victoria Yam fuses ancestral Southeast Asian sounds with industrial club productions under the alias rEmPiT g0dDe$$. Both on stage and in the studio, she deploys a raw energy where abysmal bass, frenetic percussion and distorted vocals create an overpowering universe. Her album PRIME ENERGY is a demonstration of this: a clash between rave trance and Malaysian and Filipino tunings. A sound activist, she founded ALIGN.ONLINE and the 3NiTi collective, supporting queer and female artists in the region.
