Through research and experimentation, Marie Delprat explores unstable textures, dense drones and fragmented rhythms. Through the use of semi-modular synthesizers and real-time vocal processing, she creates an immersive environment, traversed by tensions between voice, pulsation and sound matter. Inspired by Ariana Reines' A Sand Book, this piece questions notions of chaos, memory and dislocation in a world in transformation. Drawing on the codes of deconstructed techno, it plays with the loss of rhythmic reference points and the gradual erosion of forms. Pulsations become shifting, grooves dislocated: a way of exploring instability as an aesthetic and political driving force.
This show is part of the Carte Blanche given to Marie Delprat. Each night, at Jardin du Petit Théâtre, the curation is entrusted to a different artist from the Swiss scene, who presents their own projects, artists of their choice, collaborations, or new creations. A unique opportunity for unexpected musical encounters.
