Issam opens the door to his mother's home and tells us their story.
He's an actor, passionate about Molière, and a fervent soccer fan for both France and Morocco. His mother is a hospital cook. She pays her taxes, has given everything to her children, and never asks for anything in return. And very often, no one asks her opinion. But for once, she's going to talk. Through her, Issam Rachyq-Ahrad's childhood memories resurface - of wounds, humiliations and the shame we learn too early. With a lucidity imbued with humor and tenderness, the artist lends his voice to this woman long relegated to silence, offering her the possibility of reparation.

Issam Rachyq-Ahrad is a French author, director and actor. After training at the Conservatoire de Bordeaux and the École Régionale d'Acteurs de Cannes, he began his career working with a number of well-known directors, including Catherine Marnas, Ahmed Madani, Cécile Backès, Alain Timar and Nasser Djemaï.

In 2023, Issam wrote and performed his own show, “Ma République et moi”, a one-man show inspired by an event that took place in 2019 at the Conseil régional de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

In parallel with his artistic activity, Issam regularly shares his experience of theater with different audiences.
