Somewhere between Andy Kaufman and one of the Cohen brothers' characters, Florence Minder's American version humorously deploys the full range of embarrassment, terrible and ridiculous depression, and life-saving displacement imposed by life's difficult accidents.
“We are as many human beings as we are languages,” said Goethe. For this heroine in a bad situation, this linguistic schizophrenia may well come in handy. With a gun, a wig, some chewing gum, earrings and surtitles, we might even be able to scare off the wolves prowling in the abyss.
Born in Lausanne, Florence Minder is an actress, director and author based in Brussels.
In 2016, she founded the Venedig Meer company, to which she invited Manon Faure and Julien Jaillot.
