A moment of descent after ecstasy, the sensation of the body letting go, the mind becoming detached - that's_ down_. Dancer Mélissa Guex and drummer Clément Grin enter an unstable state together, where everything affects, engages or precipitates. In the midst of spectators, she and he share an explosive, unreasonable, generous and insatiable dance, a collective groove into the abyss. Conceived as an in situ, modular format, _DOWN (single version) _evolves, transforms and takes root in each territory explored, soaking up past journeys and nourishing those of the future
Mélissa Guex, born in 1993, is a dancer, performer and choreographer. She began her artistic career in Brussels, where she studied performance art, before obtaining her Bachelor's degree in contemporary dance at the Manufacture in Lausanne.
Mélissa navigates between the worlds of nightlife and theater, where she experiments with various forms of performance. She explores transformation through costume and uses urban space as a playground. Since 2019, as part of Compagnie SUMO, Mélissa Guex and her team have been developing bold artistic work, blending elaborate aesthetics with a touch of darkness.
