Is Johnny Hallyday really dead or just on vacation on Mars? Destiny's Flakes takes on a concert format and a pop star aesthetic, exposing the myth of celebrity and subverting its codes. Brought to life by a real, false band featuring colorful characters, the party's never been so lit! On the menu: light, darkness, pogoes, fake reggaeton, old spaghetti westerns and an AI that tries its hand at vocoding. In Destiny's Flakes, anything's possible! For the leaders of the Flakes' Generation, music is a visionary quest. Their melodies reflect a hallucinated prophecy. Masters of their Destiny, they are a cataclysm.
Complice Workshop for the show Destiny’s Flakes
Friday 04.07 5:00–7:00 PM at the gym room of Pierre Viret
Please note: This workshop is intended for people who will be able to attend the performance of Destiny’s Flakes on Saturday 05.07 at 11:00 PM at Tridel.
You must be over 18 to enter Tridel!
In preparation for their explosive and artistic hold-up on Saturday night at Tridel, two members of the Hoods Flakes collective are offering a 2-hour workshop to share some elements of the show with an audience of accomplices.
Strongly blurring the lines between reality and fiction, Destiny’s Flakes occasionally relies on accomplices in the audience to create surprise and interaction.
This workshop will prepare participants for the Saturday night performance while offering a deeper dive into Hoods Flakes’ absurd and joyful universe.
Want to experience a Festival show in a totally different way? This workshop is for you!
Hoods Flakes was born from the commitment of 10 dancers, musicians, DJs and stylists. Like Daft Punk, the question of identity is central. This hybrid collective takes a subversive and humorous approach to our relationship with the real and the fictional. Hoods Flakes takes over the public space, sometimes through the notion of the “heist”, sometimes under the guise of a performative concert, all sprinkled with well-dosed clichés. Through their protean performances, these amateur bank robbers like to play with codes and blur viewpoints, each time recreating offbeat, even zany scenarios.
