Somewhere between physical theater and wrestling,_ CATCH _explores rage, anger and hatred with raw energy, blending poetry and dark humor. We portray monsters and barbarians, men and women, and perhaps even laugh at our own ordinary violence: in the street, at the steering wheel or in the supermarket. As a prelude to the show, the company is offering a slap workshop for children aged 12 (and up to 88!): an opportunity to learn, in complete safety, how to give and receive a theatrical slap, or how to perform a spectacular fall. A fun and collaborative moment. Comfortable clothing recommended!
Matthias Urban is an author, actor and director born in 1974. A regular on the stages of French-speaking Switzerland, he has directed some twenty plays, including an adaptation of 1984 by George Orwell, William Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors, and more recently Antoine Jaccoud's Emmerdements.
In 2018, he was awarded the Prix vaudois du Théâtre by the Fondation vaudoise pour la culture.
