Based in Kampala, Ssentongo Moses, Dratele Epiphany, and Luyambi Vincent de Paul perform on a one-of-a-kind steel instrument custom-built by sculptor Henry Segamwenge. Drawing inspiration from the iconic TR-808 drum machine — the heartbeat behind countless legendary hip-hop and electronic beats — this instrument channels a sound all its own. Blending feverish polyrhythms, raw soul vocals, and gritty, industrial synth textures, Arsenal Mikebe turns percussive trance into a living, breathing sonic machine — both futuristic and deeply organic.
