Armour takes up the theme of masculinity, and in particular the need to transform violence, to open up the possibility of a plural and free love.
In a language of dance and acrobatic lifts revisited, this performance is at the service of a relationship with the other based on trust and respect for intimacy. The trio of performers opens up an essential space of fragility, posing sometimes troubling acts and questions, without provocation or inhibition, where gentleness and self-mockery find their place, in a joyful complicity with the audience. Arno Ferrera and Gilles Polet continue the exploration of male intimacy they began with Cuir, presented at La Cité in 2021.
Arno Ferrera and Gilles Polet are two performers and authors based in Brussels.
Anaïs Longiéras is Production and Distribution Director, and Pitou Faggiani is Stage Manager.
The team explores issues around masculinity, and their artistic proposals borrow from circus, dance and performance. They create projects in which the tactile dimension makes the relationship with others visible, in the form of an invitation to abandonment, to the discovery of confidence and thus to the transformation of self-perception.
